What it does
A TV guide that loads once
The guide is cached and re-parsed at startup rather than downloaded again. On a large subscription that saves about ten seconds every time you open the app.
Preview before you commit
Move down the list with the arrow keys: the selected channel plays in a preview, so you know what is on before stopping there.
The formats others refuse
MKV, AVI and MPEG-2 containers are remuxed on the fly by a component downloaded on demand. The video is never re-encoded.
Subtitles found and loaded
Subtitles embedded in the file are extracted, and those on OpenSubtitles are searched and loaded without leaving the player.
Your credentials stay with you
They are encrypted by the system keychain and never pass through any server of ours. Only the licence is checked online.
